The teacher clearly and accurately communicates to support persistence, deeper learning and effective effort.
In my second grade classroom, technology is a predominant method of communication. Every morning, a message is displayed on the projector with instructions for the students to follow during the first thirty minutes of the school day. Their morning work changes daily, and they will know exactly what is expected of them by reading the morning message. This communication is effective because it allows students the opportunity to be self-managing, so they can be responsible for their independent learning.
